Weekly Original: “Untitled (Classical Composition)”

So I’ve been listening to a lot of classical music lately (e.g. Mozart , Bach, Handel, Vivaldi), and have been finding myself especially fond of the baroque era, and just the pure beauty of orchestral instrumentation.  As I’ve been trying to wrap my head around the structural conventions according to which these pieces were composed, I was inspired to compose a piece of my own along the same vein.  It must be said that open-ended structure is something I have a hard time with, as I’ve been conditioned all my life to think in terms of verse-chorus pop-song structure, so the most challenging part of this exercise was cutting back on repetition.  At any rate, here is my modest attempt to channel my favorite artists of the 18th century (Of course, I’d be more fulfilled if I had an actual orchestra and a harpsichord to work with, but this’ll have to do.).
